Malibu Rum is originally a coconut-infused rum that originated in Barbados back in 1893. Its percentage of alcohol (abv) is 21. However, much later, the owners at the Pernod Ricard company have introduced other variations and flavors. At present, it is one of the most favorite coconut rums of the world.

Recipes for Mixed Drinks made with Malibu Coconut Rum
1. Original Malibu Pina Colada Frozen Drink
Blend together 2 oz Malibu rum, 1½ oz coconut cream, ¼ oz lime juice, 3 oz pineapple juice, 1 dash simple syrup, and 1 cup ice cubes until smooth and slushy. Transfer this blended mixture into stylish glasses. Garnish with coconut flakes, a cherry and a fresh pineapple wedge before you serve.
2. Fruity Malibu Rum Healthy Breakfast Punch
Use your shaker to mix well 1 oz of each of Malibu coconut rum, vodka and Tropical Sangria, 1 tbsp blue curacao, along with ⅓ cup of chilled cranberry, pineapple, and orange juices (but you can combine other juices like mango, apple, etc., as per your taste). Strain into cocktail glasses and add a dash of Dekuyper Peach Schnapps or Mr & Mrs T Strawberry Daiquiri Margarita Mix from the top. Serve with crushed ice.
3. Easy Low Calorie Drink Using Malibu Rum
In a large pitcher, mix together 3 parts of Malibu rum with 5 parts of apple. Add a few orange and apple slices, along with a couple of whole cinnamon sticks and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, undisturbed. When done, serve it to your friends in chilled highball glasses.
[If you do not care about carb/calories, you can always replace the apple cider and experiment with chilled Sprite, Red Bull, Hawaiian Punch, etc.]

To make it, line up shot glasses and pour 1 part of each of Midori, banana liqueur, Drambuie liqueur, Frangelico, tequila and Malibu Black. Do not mix. Garnish with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream from the top (optional) and shoot in with your friends.

Mix together 1 oz bitter coffee liqueur, ½ oz of premixed eggnog, Kahlua, vodka, and Malibu rum (Sundae – chocolate flavor), each, with 8 oz of hot skimmed milk. Strain into coffee mugs or glasses. Finally, garnish with whipped cream, and sprinkle 2-3 pinches of powdered coffee from the top.

In a jar, mix 1 part of each of lime juice, orange juice, and Malibu (passion fruit flavor) with 1½ parts of Malibu Black and ½ part of grenadine. Strain over lots of ice cubes in a hurricane glass, garnishing with a cherry and an orange slice.

In a cocktail glass, mix together 1 oz of each of Malibu rum and coconut liqueur, each. Add a few ice cubes. Now, fill the rest with equal quantities of fresh coconut water and coconut milk. Serve with crushed coconut and cinnamon powder.
9. Malibu Rum Instant Guy-Party Lemony-Summer Cocktails
Arrange Collin’s glasses and throw a few ice cubes and lemon chunks. Pour 1½ oz of Malibu rum, ½ oz of Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum and 3 oz of Coke (or to taste). Squeeze ¼ part of a lemon and 2 to 3 pinches of rock salt in each glass and stir lightly. Now, say ‘cheers’ and begin partying.

In an old fashioned cocktail glass, throw 4-5 fresh mint leaves and 2-3 wedges of lemon. Use a muddler to crush them lightly, and over this, pour 1 oz of each of Malibu coconut rum and Bacardi rum, with 1 oz of ginger liqueur and ½ tsp sugar syrup. Fill the remaining part with lemonade or club soda, over sparkling ice cubes. Give a light stir and serve chilled with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
