Here are a few good recipes containing Frangelico for you to try at home.
Recipes for Frangelico Drinks and Cocktails
1. Classic Birthday Chocolate Cake Shot with Frangelico
Shake together ½ oz of each of Frangelico and any chocolate liqueur, along with ¾ oz of vanilla vodka and a few ice cubes. Serve in shot glasses with a hint of lime juice.
2. Frangelico-based Easy Hot Coffee Bar Drink
In a coffee mug, add one by one 4 oz of hot espresso coffee, 1 oz of each of Kahlua and Bailey’s Irish Cream, and 1½ oz of Frangelico. Mix lightly with a spoon. Add 1 tbsp of cream, or to taste. Serve hot or warm, as desired.
Alternately, for a simpler recipe like ‘Frangelico Affogato’, mix the hot coffee with Frangelico (you don’t need Kahlua and Irish cream). Put 2 scoops of ice cream in a glass and pour the hot mixture over it. Serve immediately.
3. Basic 2-ingredient Frangelico Hazelnut Martini
Shake mix 1½ oz of vodka and ½ oz of Frangelico, and strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed with rock salt. Squeeze the juice of ¼ of a lemon from the top (optional) before you serve.
4. Frangelico Red Christmas Fruity-Freezer Drink
This drink is ideal for any holiday party. Mix ¾ oz raspberry vodka and Kahlua, each, along with ½ oz of Chambord Raspberry Liqueur and ¼ oz of Frangelico in a highball glass. Float ice cubes from the top and garnish with a scoop of ice cream. Serve with a straw and a chunk of raspberry or cherry.
5. Frangelico Creamy-Chocolate Frozen Dessert Cocktail
Try this on a summer evening after dinner. In a blender, blend well ⅔ oz of Creme de Cacao, Creme de Menthe, and Frangelico, each, with 2 oz milk and 2 cups of ice cubes, for around 15-20 seconds, or until the ice cubes get crushed and make the drink slushy. Strain into highball glasses or stylish mugs and top with a cherry and a bit of whipped cream.
6. Frangelico White Russian with Nutella & Vanilla Vodka
In a shaker, shake thoroughly 1 oz of each of Frangelico, Bailey’s Irish Cream, and vanilla vodka, with 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream. Now, smear a little Nutella hazelnut spread in the inner wall and by the rim of a cocktail glass. Throw 2-3 ice cubes in the glass and strain the mixture in it. Top the drink with a tsp of whipped cream and serve chilled.
7. Strong Mixed-Alcoholic-Long-Drink Using Frangelico
In a mixer-blender, blend well 1 oz of each of coconut rum (or white wine), vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Amaretto, Crème de Cacao, and Frangelico. Transfer this into a tall glass and stand a whole cinnamon stick in it. Serve with floating ice cubes.
8. Simple Frangelico Double-Layered Short Shooter
Layer ½ oz of Irish cream and Frangelico, each, in a shot glass and pour in.
9. Frangelico Coffee-flavored Cold Drink
Just combine 1 oz of Frangelico and Tia Maria (rum-based Jamaican coffee liqueur), each, with 6 oz of milk. Strain over ice into a cocktail glass and sip.
10. Easy Chocolate-covered Pretzel Shot with Frangelico
In a shaker, shake thoroughly ¾ oz of Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur and whipped cream vodka, along with 4-5 ice cubes. Pour the mixture into pre-chilled shot glasses. Now, rim the glass with salt, or lick a little salt and shoot in.
So, now that you know how to drink Frangelico, try out these amazing cocktails, shooters, and martinis one by one, and get popular in your friend circle – surprising them from Halloween to the 4th-of-July, or from a birthday bash to even a simple weekend get-together. Enjoy!
